Chart: Drawing Panel

Selection Tool

Allows you to select any drawings you have done on your chart. Once you have selected a drawing (such as a vertical line), it will become highlighted. You can then move it with this selection tool, or use the text/delete/coloring tools on it

Vertical Line

This tool creates a vertical line on your chart wherever you click.

Horizontal Line

This tool creates a horizontal line on your chart wherever you click.

Trendline

This tool lets you draw a trendline. Simply click the spot you want it to start and then click where you want it to end.

Channel

This tool lets you draw a channel, like a 2D trendline. Click the start and end points of the line you want, then move up or down and click once more to give it the full channel shape.

Arrow

This tool lets you create an arrow shape on the chart. When using this tool, the first click on the chart will mark the end of the tail. The second one will mark the point just before the head of the arrow shape.

Fibonnaci Retracement

This tool will let you easily create a Fibonnaci Retracement on the chart. Click once to mark the bottom left corner of the retracement area you would like to make, and again to mark the top right.

Box

This is a simple drawing tool. It allows you to create a box on the chart in a soft grey color. The first click will mark one corner of the box, and the second click will mark the other corner, diagonally.

Color

Click this button to open a list of colors. Click on a color to make a selected drawing become that color. It will also be applied to new drawings you create.

Text

This button opens a text window. Write in this window then close it to label a selected drawing. It will also be applied to new drawings you create.

Delete

This button deletes a selected drawing, removing it from the chart.

Keep in mind that having the drawing tool menu open will cause the platform to prioritize drawing. This means that there are a few platform functions that will not work normally while you have the drawing tool menu open, such as clicking and dragging a stop or limit order to re-position it.
